To work as a critical care paramedic (CCP) with BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a valid critical care paramedic licence from the Emergency Medical Licensing Board
- Have a class 4 BC driver's licence (or an equivalent from another province), or be able to get one within 6 months of starting
- Be at least 19 years old
- Be legally allowed to work in Canada
- Be available to work different shifts, as needed
- Be medically fit and able to pass a criminal record check
- Have experience handling high-acuity calls in a busy environment
- Show strong leadership skills
- Work well with others and be recognized as a team player by health care professionals
