As we honour and celebrate our 50th year of caring for British Columbians, we are proud to look back on half a century of caring, and to share some of the incredible stories that have brought us to where we are in 2024.

As we move through our 50th anniversary year this page will be updated regularly with the stories, tales and history of the BC Ambulance Service as we moved from a disorganized mosaic of private, public, and charitable ambulance services around BC and evolved into one of the world's largest pre-hospital paramedic organizations, providing care to 5 million British Columbians spread across nearly 1 million square kilometers of city, farm-land, mountains, and ocean.
